Superstar Rajinikanth
Superstar Rajinikanth whose actual name is Shivaji Rao Gaekwad was born on 12 December 1950. He first acted in the movie Apoorva Raagangal in a negative role directed by K.Balachander. He is considered to be the second highest paid actor in Asia next to Jackie Chan. He became more popular in the 1990 decade as all the films he acted became blockbusters like Thalapathi,Annamalai,Mannan,veera, and the most popular Badsha . As Badsha made him a superstar all over India , Muthu made him popular all over the world. Especially in Japan, the movie grossed around 1.6 million dollars. He has fan base in Japan and the American News magazine commented that Rajinikanth had become the heartthrob of Japan. Padayappa, his 150th film is also a blockbuster. He helped Mohan Babu by doing a cameo role in Pedarayudu which turned out to be super hit. He also helped in getting the remake rights of the film. No one can forget the way he helped the distributors of the Baba movie which was turned out be a disaster. He gave every distributor 1lakh+what ever amount they invested and made sure that he never let the one who believed him, that is the greatness of Rajini. He then acted in Chandramukhi directed by P.Vasu which was a blockbuster both in Telugu and Tamil. Chandramukhi went onto run for 800 days in TamilNadu which is due to the pure magic of Rajnikanth. He then acted in Shivaj The Boss which was released in around 2800 theatres set new records in the tamil industry. Shankar and Rajinikanth teamed up again in Enthiran which was considered to be highest grosser in the Indian cinema history which is the feat can be done only by the Thalaivar.
